OmniRange C5 User Manual

๐Ÿ“˜ OmniRange C5 User Manual

The OmniRange C5 is a multifunctional wireless platform supporting both standalone operation and Flipper Zero expansion. It integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sub-GHz and GPS modules and can run ESP32 Marauder โ€” suitable for wireless research, data analysis, engineering development and field testing.

๐Ÿงญ 1. OmniRange C5 Overview

OmniRange C5 supports both independent operation and Flipper Zero expansion. It integrates Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Sub-GHz, and GPS modules and is capable of running ESP32 Marauder firmware. Typical use cases include RF research, data capture, engineering diagnostics, and security testing.

โš™๏ธ 2. Configuring OmniRange C5 on Flipper Zero

Firmware reference: MNTM-011 (02-02-2025). Settings may vary slightly on other firmware versions.

๐Ÿ“Œ 2.1 Enter the Settings Menu

On Flipper Zero, navigate to:

Momentum โ†’ Protocol Settings โ†’ GPIO Pin Mapping

๐Ÿ“Œ 2.2 Hardware Module Interface Configuration

Configure the hardware interfaces as follows.

๐Ÿ›ฐ 2.2.1 GPS Module (UBlox / ATGM series)

Set the GPS UART pins to:

  • GPS TX โ†’ GPIO 13
  • GPS RX โ†’ GPIO 14
๐Ÿ“ถ 2.2.2 CC1101 (433 MHz Sub-GHz module)

The default uses the internal 4-wire SPI โ€” no changes required.

If using an external 433 MHz module (e.g., Dolphin):

  1. Insert the 433 MHz external module.
  2. Open the Sub-GHz menu.
  3. Enter Advanced Settings.
  4. Set โ€œUse Moduleโ€ to External.
๐ŸŒ 2.2.3 ESP32-C5 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Module

Set the UART pins to:

  • ESP32 TX โ†’ GPIO 15
  • ESP32 RX โ†’ GPIO 16

Ensure Wi-Fi and expansion features operate correctly after mapping.

โœ… 3. Configuration Complete

After completing the above steps, Flipper Zero should correctly detect and operate the following OmniRange C5 modules:

  • GPS Module
  • ESP32-C5 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Module
  • 433 MHz Sub-GHz RF Module
