KV4P 2.0 Version HT Handheld Transceiver Product Introduction

The KV4P HT is a homemade UHF radio device that enables your smartphone to achieve completely off-grid voice and text communication. Operation requires at minimum a Technician-class amateur radio license.

This transceiver plugs directly into your Android smartphone's USB-C port, transforming the phone into a fully functional handheld radio.

Compact and lightweight, it easily fits into a pocket for carry anywhere. As it contains no internal battery, it is an ideal choice for your go-bag or your vehicle's glove compartment.

High-Definition Audio: 22kHz sampling rate 8-bit ADC audio, equipped with filters and squelch functionality.

Text Messaging: An SMS-like experience with notifications – supports radio-based APRS messaging (not limited to location sharing), featuring a built-in 1200 baud modem.

Scanning Function: Capable of scanning an unlimited number of memory channels and groups.

No Separate Charging Required: Contains no internal battery; powered directly by your smartphone.

Efficient Transmission: 1-watt transmit power provides a communication range of several miles, while consuming minimal phone battery power.

Accessibility Features: Live closed captions (on supported devices), disable animations, sticky PTT button (with haptic feedback).
